July 2016
Here's a card I made for friends celebrating 60 years. Inside it referred to the best catch of their lives. Again embossed with white and rubbed over the embossing with different colors. So easy and I love the way it looks.
Atticus is a month old, Doug has a birthday and Rufus gets a ride on the bike and a bath!

June and Atticus Theodor
Nothing prettier than an azalea in bloom.
You can go onto Facebook this month and vote on Amber's page for what day you think the baby will be born.
Finally on June 22th Atticus Theodor Drobny was born.

May 2016
This is a never ending card. So much fun to make, you can keep flipping it over and over.
Back home to Boise and getting together again with all my Red Hat friends. Son Doug has moved back home during our winter absence and is once again in the house with Rufus the dog. Is so nice that they are back, he is working downtown and so starts a long summer of househunting.
Here are some cute Robot side step cards.
The desert is abandoned....April 2016
Not to forget this is a card blog...using the Stampin Up Woodland folder.
The flower card is made by by masking off a rectangle in the center of the card with masking tape. Then using versamark and embossing it in white and then taking ink daubers and rubbing on color. Rip off the tape and it is a perfect one layer card.
April 2016 and time for everyone to start thinking of going home. Most of our friends are making the trek to Canada....Ontario, Alberta and B.C. Other friends are moving full time to Arizona.
Oh and I let my hair go to gray and started woodburning and carving gourds.

St Patty's in Yuma
There is nothing like St. Patty's in Yuma. Even tho Sun Vista no longer tints the beer green there is still lots of free beer, corned beef sandwiches and music. New friends.
Liese and Helen B. get a hug from the Park's famous leprechaun.
John wins the raffle and generously splits with Phillip even tho there was not handshake on the
bet. Don B. looks like he is about ready to call it a day.

March 2016
In March everything is in full swing in Yuma. Here is a card from our Paper Dolls (thanks Billie for teaching this, I love it).
The high point this year has to be the fact that Donnie and Amber are going to have a baby in June. We are so excited to be grandparents and our friends are so excited for us. Kelly, along with Rachael planned a super surprise baby shower for us. Was so much fun...and to share this with our friends.

Bittersweet Vacation
In continuing with my updating of 2016. February.....
Love the girls at my Thursday night card making. They are truly "Paper Dolls". Here are a couple cards we made this season.
Also for the 2nd year we went to Laughlin for Kelly M. and Linda R.birthday's. While we had a good time Linda had to fly in from Edmondton where she was having treatments for her brain cancer. It was hard not to remember the previous February when we had gaily walked the Riverwalk, gaming and drinking into the night. We all knew it was the last time we would be together and indeed we lost not only Linda to brain cancer in the summer but her companion Lawrence as well.
Me and Kelly in back. Don't Linda and Lawrence look happy....and they knew they were on borrowed time. After Laughlin we were lucky to spend a week with them in Vegas in a timeshare they arranged for us.
