I was lucky to find a special on little square Ghirardelli chocolate bars.  Had to make these cute little pouches for my neighbor Kelly's birthday.  CASEd them from several online sources.

 Giradelli Sq. Candy holder

Cut a 4 1/2” scaloped circle (2 1/4” at center)
Score at 3/4” and 1” and 3 1/2”and 3 3/4”

Stamp sentiment on (long center piece) top if desired.

Turn circle making sure it is perpendicular and score at 1 1/4” and 1 1/2” . All folds are valley folds.
Cut as indicated.

Make the folds. Use red line or strong tape to fold over the flap. Decorate front as desired.
This is called a "joy" fold card and made quite a nice display for a pocket card or ATC.

Owl cards

I really enjoy making my owl cards and this one was really fun.  A great stand up COPE card I found online. It was relatively easy with scalloped circles, made the tree freehand and ran it through the embosser.

Oldie but goodie

I've seen several Dr. Who cards around the internet lately so thought I would post an older version of a card that I made for Amber's birthday several years ago. Wish I took better photos.

It's a new year...another resolution to participate in some challenges.  So am starting with week with Bugaboo and their birthday challenge.  Had to make this one real fast to get it in today.  I had this image and not yet used it, so a quick card.  Hard to see but the I used accents on water bubbles and stickles on the candles.  http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/2013/01/week-long-bugaboo-birthday-bash.html

Christmas Card

Well I'm just about to wrap up making my Christmas Cards.  You know a lot of "carders" use one design and send it to everyone.  Somehow I can't do that and have to make each one seperate.  So I will just post one here--I think it was one of my favorites and about the easiest.  The sentiment  was at http://desertdiva-hannelie.blogspot.com  The square was cut with my Cricut using the Elegant Edges cartridge. You can see in the smaller photo how the card actually opens. Merry Christmas

to Cricut or not?

Black Friday is upon us and I went and ordered another Cricut cartridge.  I am undecided as to whether to try and sell my Cricut and cartridges.  It is so hard when you do not have a dedicated space to set it up.  But I went ahead and ordered the elegant edges cartridge for $25 as I am trying to do more cards with digi stamps and it seemed like a good fit for that.  We'll see.
